Ciao Angel, ci racconti qualcosa del tuo uomo d’arme e della tua delegazione?
"Abbiamo voluto ricreare la delegazione appartenente al Visconte di Cabrera e Bas e Conte di Mòdica. La famiglia Cabrera tra le più nobili e potenti della Catalogna e della Corona d'Aragona. Nel quattrocento, Bernat Giovanni di Cabrera combatté a fianco del Re, poi fu mandato imprigionato a causa delle sue aspirazioni a diventare Re di Sicilia. Il visconte impegnato con la guerra civile catalana ha inviato il suo campione in Italia per partecipare al Torneo."
Hi Angel, what can you tell us about your man-at-arms and your delegation?
"The delegation recreated by us belongs to the Viscount of Cabrera and Bas also Count of Mòdica. Cabrera's family was one of the most powerful nobles around Catalonia and the Crown of Aragon. In s. XV, the Bernat Joan of Cabrera fought on side of the King, afterwards he was send to prision because he intented to be the King of Sicila. We can reenact that the Viscount was busy with the Catalan Civil War and cause of that, he send his champion to Italy to participate in Torneo."
Questo è il tuo primo TORNEOINARMATURA, come sei venuto a conoscenza di questo evento e cosa ti ha incoraggiato a partecipare a questa edizione?
"Questo è il nostro primo Torneo in armatura. Abbiamo scoperto questo evento sui social media. Quando abbiamo guardato le foto per la prima volta siamo rimasti molto colpiti. Abbiamo incontrato Nicolas Baptiste anni fa e abbiamo parlato della possibilità di partecipare, abbiamo lavorato sodo per renderlo possibile."
This is your first TORNEOINARMATURA, how did you find out about this event and what encouraged you to participate in this edition?
"This is our first Torneo in armatura. We found out this event in the social media. When we looked at pictures for the first time we were very impressed. We met Nicolas Baptiste years ago and we talked about the possibility to participate in, and then we started working hard to make it possible."
Cosa ti aspetti da questo evento?
"I nostri obiettivi è di incontrare persone simpatiche e imparare da uno dei migliori eventi di rievocazione. In Spagna, e Catalogna, la qualità della rievocazione medievale è molto bassa. Per noi partecipare al Torneo può essere un'ottima occasione per crescere e migliorare la nostra compagnia."
What do you expect from this event?
"Our aims are to meet nice people and learn from one of the best reenactment event. In Spain, also Catalonia, the quality of medieval reenactment is very low. For us participate in Torneo could be a very good opportunity to grow up and improve our company."
What do you think of the event’s formula dedicated solely to re-enactors without an audience?
"For us, it's very strange and curious, and it's one of the reasons why we want to come and learn. Normally we reenact for the people in didactic form for they can learn about history. In this way is interesting and is a new type of reenactment for us."
Cosa ne pensi della formula dell’evento senza pubblico dedicato solo ai reenactors?
"Per noi è molto strano e curioso, ed è uno dei motivi per cui vogliamo partecipare e imparare. Normalmente rievochiamo facendo didattica per far possono conoscere la storia al pubblico. Questo per noi è un interessante nuovo modo di fare ricostruzione."
Do you already know some of the other men-at-arms? Who do you fear most? Would you like to make any predictions about a winner?
"We only know about Nicolas Baptiste because we are good friends, cause of that we can't do any prediction. "
Conosci già alcuni degli altri uomini d'arme? Chi temi di più? Ti piacerebbe fare delle previsioni su un vincitore?
"Conosco solo Nicolas Baptiste perché siamo buoni amici, per questo non faccio nessuna previsione."
